Volunteers Packing Food

All of the work supports our core values – equality, sustainability and most of all, generosity.

We believe that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to fresh, organically grown produce (and in our particular case, blueberries). That’s why we created The Giving Farm – a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit  charity that donates 100% of its harvest to food pantries in need.

 

All of our resources, from our marketing specialist to our social media manager, are volunteer-based positions, which means that every single penny we receive goes directly towards funding our work.

A recent study found that one in seven Americans — 46 million people — rely on food pantries to feed themselves and their families.

 Food pantry clients, many living in poor ethnic neighborhoods, are at highest risk for inadequate intake of fruits and vegetables as emergency food assistance often does not include a supply of fresh produce.
